Guiding Children's Behaviour

 

Dr. Louise Porter will be speaking to parents of CDNIS and the outside community
on the topic of Guiding Children's Behaviour.

 

Dr. Louise Porter has over 25 years of experience as a child psychologist consulting with
children, parents and educators on children's developmental, emotional and social
challenges. Also working for 10 years in disability and mainstream settings, she taught
for 13 years at University and today conducts professional development and parent
information sessions across Asia and the Asia-Pacific region. She has written many
books, including Children Are People Too (for parents) and a parenting program
(A guidance approach to discipline), plus professional titles including Young Children's
Behaviour, Gifted Young Children, and Teacher-parent Collaboration.

 

She is a sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally on the needs of young
children.

 

Light refreshments will be provided. Dr. Porter's books will be for sale on the evening of
the event.
