CISPA Chinese New Year Fair
Chinese New Year remains the most important and most celebrated festival in Hong Kong, and the Fair is always a highlight of the school year. With students dressed in Chinese clothing, the Fair is a colourful CISPA tradition. At the Fair, students will celebrate the Year of the Rabbit with a wishing tree, lucky plants and flowers, feast on traditional food and candies, and share laughs through fun and games, to really start the New Year with a bang! New to Upper School this year there will be tea tasting, a fortune-telling bird and DIY flower arrangement.
For the first time this year, the Lower and Upper School will hold their Fairs on the same day. The Lower School Fair will be held at the 11/F playground and the Upper School Fair will be in the 6/F cafeteria. Throughout the day, students will visit the Fairs during their designated times. Parent- and student-run booths will offer many Lunar New Year traditions. Parents are invited to volunteer for this great day.
Tokens can be pre-ordered through CISPA or purchased on the day of the Fair. Tokens can be purchased in increments of $50; $50 represents 10 tokens. The majority of the games, activities and foods cost 1-2 tokens, merchandise costs 2-8 tokens each, flowers and plants costs 2-20 tokens. There will be non-stop fun for everyone. Left-over tockens can also be use in CISPA Book Swap.
