Dr The Honourable Leo T.H. Lee Passes Away

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Dr Leo Lee, our Signature Patron of the Arts, on Tuesday, June 8. He was 88.

Dr Lee was a successful entrepreneur who was well known to the public as a philanthropist and community leader for over 50 years. Awarded Hong Kong's highest honour, the Grand Bauhinia Medal, Dr Lee's generous support of our Arts Centre led to the facility being named in his honour - The Leo Lee Arts Centre (LLAC).

Dr Lee's early sponsorship of the theatre helped ensure it would be developed into a spectacular state-of-the-art facility. Our students, staff and parents use and enjoy the LLAC on a daily basis and the facility has earned a reputation of being the perfect venue to host a myriad of events for the larger Hong Kong community.

Dr Lee's son Vincent is a Founding Member of CDNIS and served as Chair of the Board of Governors from 2005-2007. Dr Lee's grand daughter Ariel graduated from CDNIS, while his grandson Marcus is currently enrolled in the school.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Dr Lee's family. He will be greatly missed.
