Upper School Music

All students in Grade7 and 8 are required to take music. While the focus is on the development of students’ performing skills, they receive a well-rounded music education in all aspects of theory, creativity and critical thinking.

Upon entering Grade 9, students may elect to take music. The Grade 9 to 12 music programme is led by Mr Robert Dacho. Students’ music education is built on a traditional concert band programme and develops skills in theory, creativity and analysis.

Band rehearsals take place on Mondays after school and during lunch.
